Another animation! It makes me appreciate their subtle movements. I think there is a reason there are so many duck characters in children's literature, they're so loveable! Again, Thank you for sharing them!!
Visiting from Our World Tuesday - from northern Minnesota. I have never been to Texas, but just booked a trip there with my husband & two older sons on March. Looking forward to it!
Now that's a duck we see a lot here, more than any other in fact. The iridescent green on the male is so lovely. So pleased your commenters noticed the Turtle, I nearly missed it :-)
I enjoyed my usual delve into your recent posts and loved 'Skinny Chicken', so comical :-) The heron post was a favourite too and the Bluebird is so pretty!! I also loved that Buckeye Butterfly.
Hi Theresa! I'm back blogging again after a rather nasty chest infection. You are my first call, and I was pleased to see some ducks I actually know!!:) Will be playing catch up for a while, but will visit again soon.
Well, not too long before these guys start moving north. We have some mallards that stay here all winter. Any areas with open water will do for mallards.
The lead duck seems to be on the alert for something, while the other one is just enjoying paddling around. Hope the snapping turtles were behaving themselves that day.

Warm enough for turtles? Ours aren't moving yet.
What lovely ducks!
The duck on the right has some very interesting moves, and I like how you got the turtle in the last shot.
Looks like something I'd enjoy - a nice relaxing swim in the pond. No gators' correct?
love how that one has it's neck all stretched out.... and the turtle in the background is Huge
Well, not too long before these guys start moving north. We have some mallards that stay here all winter. Any areas with open water will do for mallards.
You even included a turtle...the one looks like he is trying to decide if you brought something for them to eat!
Your photos are making long for spring. :)
Pretty ducks! We saw some ducks when we were out running yesterday and the twins got all excited.
They look so peaceful floating around the pond.
Sweet waterfowls.

Love the ducks- they are so colorful!
These ducks look of perky paddling around. Neat shot to get their color very well.
The lead duck seems to be on the alert for something, while the other one is just enjoying paddling around. Hope the snapping turtles were behaving themselves that day.
Thousands of miles away and yet the same scene as in Europe, amazing.
LOVE THOSE!
Oh, how I loved seeing the Mallards and am getting anxious to hit the waterways once again...just have to wait until it warms up!...:)JP
It's so warm there the turtle is sunning! Lucky you!

Now this is one bird we do have here...ok, not a bird, but a duck. I love their emerald green necks.
Quackers and Snappers---Love it!! MB
What a rough day!
GREAT Captures!
I always like seeing Mallards. Looks like the turtle is scurrying as fast as he can to get away from them.
Nice drakes! (cute turtle too)
We're having a 'watery Wednesday' here too, and are going to float away if it doesn't quit soon!!
It looks like the boys are having an afternoon on the pond. I wonder if they stopped to visit with the turtle.
I love ducks, especially mallards. Great pics.
I love your pond and the wildlife there.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if people got along as well as animals (ducks & turtles)?
Reminds me of my childhood, my grandma had ducks on her land... when i was little we would go feed them, it was a lot of fun.
You found a turtle for your ducks to enjoy!
Great pics.and since this is Watery Wednesday instead of Wordless Wednesday, you CAN speak!
Cheers,
Jo, Stella and Zkhat
