Hi Tex, Always enjoy your "series" photos. You're the best with that. I wish we had some cardinals up here. Thanks for sharing and have a great day. John
Morning, thank you for posting such a beautiful bird, Love Cardinals so much.....We do not have them in these parts, so I enjoy seeing pictures of them, amazing photos, Blessings Francine.
Your place must have the best snack bars around for meals and drinks. I'm sure birds pass this along, as I have never seen so many species of birds in one place.
Amazing, those shots of the cardinal's little seeds! I will show my J. He told me yesterday a guy cardinal bumped a lady cardinal to get her food by the feeder, & yet, he said, in spring the guys are very nurturing to the girls in feeding them...
A fine shot of this cardinal. I like how you managed to catch one with something in this mouth. I think he must have been making noise when I look at the changes in his beak.
One of my most favorite birds. We had lots of them at our feeder when we lived in Carolina, (he is the NC state bird!) but we never see any here in Minniesnowda!
The robin has a specifically good meaning for those of us who grew up in the Mid-West. It was a good sign for Spring! Hope you had a good weekend, Theresa!
Dearest Theresa, Wow, lovely bird with nicely shady blurred back♡♡♡ And found your friend's wonderful comment "well-read! Er, red" nice play on words adding to yours(^_^)v
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan to my American photographer friend, xoxo Miyako*
I've never seen a cardinal in BC but obsessively followed the ones in my sister's garden (Ottawa) when I visited last year. Just love them. Perhaps I'm biased but I think your fellow is gorgeous.

He does look a bit "rough around the edges". Maybe he was just having a bad hair day!
Beautiful! Wish we had these birds here.
He looks pretty happy to have found this feeder! I love how he looks with the green. Nice contrast.
Your title cracks me up! Beautiful red bird. My MIL used to call cardinals redbirds.
Nice pictures of a very beautiful bird :)
He looks like a pretty shade to me!
I love cardinals...
Looks like a Juvenal.
Lots of cardinals here, so pretty!
Good Sunday!
Nice pics. We have had so few cardinals this year. Lots of pelicans though. (Not at the bird feeders)
I love to watch them crack those sunflower seeds.
Hi Tex, Always enjoy your "series" photos. You're the best with that. I wish we had some cardinals up here. Thanks for sharing and have a great day. John
Haha! I wouldn't mind bumping into him in a dark alley too much!
Must have had a hard winter.
And you captured him nicely! Send a few my way would you? LOVE those red Cardinals. The females are pretty too though.
Does look like someone ruffled his feathers, but he's probably just a teenager! Great shots as always!!

Cute pictures. Enjoy your day.
LOVE these little Red beauties!!
Beautiful images.
beautiful. i've noticed that cardinals are pretty shy - they always come to my feeder alone - never when other birds are around. so bright. ( :
one of natures wonderous species
Aren't they fun to watch! Love the last photo with the seed in the mouth!
Wow such a beautiful bird in red!! Amazing :)
Cardinals are my favorite bird. Wish I saw them out west but I don't so I have to rely on my blogger friends to see them. Thanks for sharing these!
Nice catch - I love the tuft on top of his head - makes him look a little rough-and-tumble.
Your place must have the best snack bars around for meals and drinks. I'm sure birds pass this along, as I have never seen so many species of birds in one place.
Lovely photos of this Cardinal! Wish we had them!
He's a cutie!
He may be seedy, but he can't help being gorgeous! Wow, Tex, what great pictures!
Some fine shots here. Cardinals seem to love posing.

I like the capture of the seed in the beak. Great job.
Got a bunch these and Jays stoppin' by this AM.
He has a bit of a comical look to him. Nice shots.
Shady character. Yes. Loves hanging low in the bushes near the ground or inside of vegetation. Seedy character. Most definitely:)
So many awesome shots. Love the one with the seed in his beak! Cute title, too. :)
simply beautifully captured shots....lovely!
Someday I hope to see one, the bird, not a seedy shady character. I've seen enough of them already.
his feathers appear a bit faded...maybe he is getting ready to shed those feathers...? great shots of a happy feeder!!!
I like his 'do
great title!! he is a lil shady looking and he looks a lil disheveled!!
is he shady because he looks shady?? or because of the lines of shade on his face!!
A fine shot of this cardinal. I like how you managed to catch one with something in this mouth. I think he must have been making noise when I look at the changes in his beak.
and he is in shades of my favorite color red.... he is ruffled a little, maybe he is getting ready for spring
So is he a young one or do they have a winter plumage? Guess I'll have to go look.
Ptak jest śliczny i ma piękne zdjęcia. Pozdrawiam.
The bird is cute and has a beautiful picture. Yours.

Who needs colourful parrots when we have birds like this.
Yes, but he is well-read! Er, red!

Very nice set of images. Cardinals are so beautiful, and they have such powerful voices for such relatively little birds.
I could huggle them, the Cardinal is beautiful, cheers for showing us.
I always get a kick out of their feathered heads. Good shots of the seeds on their way down.
Such a distinguished looking bird- but kind of frito bandito at the same time!
He looks happy!
He might be having a bad hair day because he was in such a hurry to get to the feeder...ha!
He's a growing boy, and not much into self-grooming. Wait till he gets interested in girls!
Don Juan of the cardinals...
Ever since I left new England for the desert Southwest, I miss cardinals!
A Sip of Evening Shadows

lovely to have these beautiful birds so close to home like you do Theresa; fabulous. I'd LOVE to have the opportunity to photograph them like you do

Cardinals are such pretty birds! They are one of my few feeder visitors! Great shots, Tex!
Saw one at my feeder yesterday. I love 'em.
My favorite color and bird! I haven't seen a cardinal myself in many years. Looks like he's busy at he banquet.
The robin has a specifically good meaning for those of us who grew up in the Mid-West. It was a good sign for Spring! Hope you had a good weekend, Theresa!
Wow, he's beautiful!
He does look a little rough. Hope those nuts help brighten him up. Still quite a stunning bird. Great shots.
A red treasure at your feeder...
He looks a little rough, but he's fluffing those head feathers for you. :)
He does look a little raggedy, poor thing. Thank goodness he found that feeder - it looks like he needs a good meal!
oh honey you really showed his greedy little soul. bless him

Cardinals and blue birds nve fail to deliver beauty- no matter if they look just a tad faded and bedraggled.
I like that feeder- from whence did you get it?
Dearest Theresa,
Wow, lovely bird with nicely shady blurred back♡♡♡
And found your friend's wonderful comment "well-read! Er, red" nice play on words adding to yours(^_^)v

I've never seen a cardinal in BC but obsessively followed the ones in my sister's garden (Ottawa) when I visited last year. Just love them. Perhaps I'm biased but I think your fellow is gorgeous.
He does look a little the worse for wear but very happy to have a nice meal thanks to you! :)
That dude needs to get himself to the Hair Affair! But he's still a good looking dude.
They grow the cardinals kinda skinny in Texas, huh? :-) Really nice shots! He looks a bit nervous, though.
Fabulous and vibrant shots!
WoW...what a long tail this guy has!!!
I can never get over how stunning they are every time I see a cardinal.
